शुरुआत में लिफ्ट में शीशे नहीं लगाए जाते थे लेकिन लिफ्ट इस्तेमाल करने वाले लोगों को शिकायत थी कि लिफ्ट की गति काफी अधिक है और लोग इससे असहज महसूस करते हैं लिहाजा इसे धीमा करना जरूरी है|

इसके बाद लिफ्ट में आने वाले व्यक्ति का पूरा ध्यान शीशे पर ही केंद्रित हो गया और अब लोगों को इससे लिफ्ट की गति ज्यादा तेजी भी नहीं लगने लगी और इंजीनियरों का यह आईडिया सफल हो गया तो कुछ इस तरह से शुरू हुआ लिफ्ट में शीशे का चलन
