SSC GD Constables are recruited to promote a sense of security among the people living in the border areas. Their role is to prevent trans-border crimes, unauthorized entry into or exit from the territory of India. They are responsible for preventing smuggling or any other illegal activities on the Border.

SSC GD कांस्टेबलों की भर्ती सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले लोगों में सुरक्षा की भावना को बढ़ावा देने के लिए की जाती है। उनकी भूमिका सीमा पार अपराधों, अनधिकृत प्रवेश या भारत के क्षेत्र से बाहर निकलने को रोकना है। वे सीमा पर तस्करी या किसी अन्य अवैध गतिविधियों को रोकने के लिए जिम्मेदार हैं।
